I/D What is the Student Rights and Equity Committee?
SRE is in charge of the different committees within DASG–ensuring they are acting equitable and are representing the student population.
SRE hosts “Resource Fair” on campus–connecting them with different resources on campus.
The purpose of Advocacy Liaisons is to be a bridge between the different disproportionately impacted community spaces on campus.
Advocacy Liaison Proposal
Student equity & achievement plan 2022-2025:
- Equity framework showcases how equity at De Anza is achieved
Overview of DASG Senate:
- For meetings to occur, quorum has to be met
- There are currently 26 Senators and planning to add 5 Advocacy Liaisons
Is quantity an issue in regard to Advocacy Liaisons?
- There shouldn’t be any restriction to the numbers, but we don’t want overfill Senate
