Approval of minutes
The revised minutes from January 23, 2023 and the draft minutes of February 27, 2023 were approved.
Year of the Rabbit project follow up
A report on the progress of the rabbit project was given. All but one artist has been selected and the project is moving forward. The committee selected the final artist.
Project request form follow up
The committee discussed the need for the form, and noted how it might interact with a budget allocation. The response to the form can help determine how much money should be requested, or the response can be based upon the budget allocated. The committee will bring the item back for further discussion at next meeting.
Flea Market booth art work request
A request came from Dayna Swanson, DA Special Events Coordinator to decorate the flea market booth using students. The committee discussed the request in the context of the need to address the public-facing nature of the structure, and the question of how to respond to the request. The committee decided to offer the requestor a choice of submitting through the new process or utilizing an existing De Anza mountain lion mascot logo.
Budget request
The committee resumed the budget discussion from the previous meeting. It was decided to ask for $100,000, with categories that would include maintenance, cleaning, moving, storage, consultants, insurance, and specific projects. The committee will detail the budget proposal as part of the next meeting.
