Strengthening Institutions Program: $2.25 million from the
U.S. Department of Education to expand support for historically
underserved student populations, coordinating delivery of services
through new Learning Communities, a new Ethnic and Pride
Inclusion Center, six Villages and additional faculty training

Zero Textbook Cost: $800,000 from the California Community
Colleges Chancellor’s Office to develop courses and degree
pathways in which students can use free or low-cost resource
materials instead of expensive textbooks, which are a significant
financial barrier for many students

National Endowment for Humanities (NEH): $150,000 in De Anza’s
first-ever grant from the NEH will be used to modernize existing
archives at the California History Center and develop oral history
programs focused on historically marginalized communities
