Dear Students,
We want to update you on the coronavirus planning situation.
De Anza College will move most face-to-face classes to alternate formats, including online, beginning this Monday, March 16. Exceptions may include labs, studio arts and physical activity courses. You will hear directly from your instructor about your particular class.
The campus and most services – including the Food Pantry, Counseling, the Library, Admissions and Records, and others – will remain open. If you use Disabled Student Services, please contact that office or your counselor.
Thank you for your understanding, as the coronavirus issue and responses have been rapidly changing – although we have been planning for a possible change in instructional format for several weeks now. The change in class format is a precautionary measure, as there have been no diagnosed cases of coronavirus on campus.
At the same time, we realize that you may have questions about your finals, grades and credits. Please be assured that you will be able to complete your classes and receive the grades and credits you have earned – even though the instructional format for your course is likely to change. Again, your instructor will be able to tell you about arrangements for your particular class. And we will continue providing essential student services on campus or, as needed, through alternative arrangements.
For more information and updates, please visit our website at deanza.edu/heathservices/coronavirus. We will also keep you posted by email and through other channels, as appropriate. Please contact your instructors with your specific questions.
Best wishes,
De Anza College
