Food Pantry and CalFresh at De Anza
The Food Pantry is available to currently registered De Anza students. You must have a De Anza student ID (physical or digital card) and be registered for the current term.
Visit the Food Pantry in the Registration & Student Services (RSS) Building, room 127.

You can also get groceries and other food items on campus from these sources:
- Mobile pantries operated by West Valley and Loaves & Fishes visit campus several times a month – see the schedule below.
- Prepared foods are available at no charge in the Food Pantry (RSS 127) every Monday from 11:00a.m. -1:00 p.m. while supplies last, courtesy of "No Time to Waste." (We also have microwaves, utensils and napkins.)
- Snacks, soup and drinks are available – at no charge for students who need them – in numerous locations around campus – see the list of food locations.
- CalFresh provides monthly assistance for purchasing food. We can help you apply – see details below.
- Grocery store gift cards are available from the Food Pantry for eligible students – see details below.
- Several nonprofit agencies around Santa Clara County also have food available – see the list below.

CalFresh: Need Money for Food?
Find out if you're eligible for CalFresh!
- Monthly cash assistance for purchasing food
- Provided via EBT debit card (looks like any other debit card)
- Use it to buy groceries and fresh produce at participating stores, restaurants and farmers' markets

Grocery Store Gift Cards
Cards will only be distributed once a student applies on the following distribution
dates within a two-week period. (Distribution dates are subject to cancellation due
to funding or change in supply.)
- Students are responsible for maintaining eligibility. Please review the full guidelines, which will be sent via email with your first requested card, as well as the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
- Student are required to be enrolled as a full time student 12 units or more in order to qualify for a grocery store gift card.
- If you have a receipt to submit, please submit it to dafoodpantry@deanza.edu with the whole amount used, if there is a remaining balance the receipt will not be
accepted until balance on card is zero.
- Students who maintain eligibility can request up to one card each distribution date,
only while supplies last. Eligible students must submit a new request, using the request
form in the link below.
- Receipts and requests are due no later than 5 p.m. the day before distribution dates
to allow time to process requests. Receipts and requests submitted after 5pm on the day before distribution dates may
not be processed in time for that date. No cards can be requested or granted retroactively.

Park-It Market
The mobile pantry from West Valley Community Services visits Parking Lot A on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month, from 1:45-3:15 p.m.
- You'll need to bring your student ID.
- You can find fresh produce, meat, dairy products, dry goods and canned items
Loaves & Fishes Family Kitchen
Groceries are available every Thursday from 2-3 p.m. in Parking Lot A, courtesy of Loaves & Fishes Family Kitchen and A La Carte.
- You'll need to bring a bag to carry your selections.

Food insecurity among college students is a serious issue. A recent survey of De Anza students found nearly four out of ten experienced food insecurity. In
the 2018-19 academic year the De Anza Food Pantry was accessed by 419 unduplicated
students a total of 2,245 times. Please consider supporting student achievement through
