Welcome Day is Friday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m.-noon in the Main Quad! Students can meet their instructors, discover their Village and check out programs, services and activities that are part of the whole college experience at De Anza. There will be free boba, a T-shirt giveaway and a prize drawing for an Instax Mini camera and AirTags!

Register Now for Fall Quarter!

Students can now register for fall quarter! Classes begin Monday, Sept. 23. Great classes are available on campus and online: deanza.edu/schedule.

De Anza Farmers' Market Grand Opening Is This Sunday, Aug. 4

A farmers' market will continue to serve the community of Cupertino and beyond, with a new partnership between the college and the nonprofit Pacific Coast Farmers' Market Association (PCFMA). The Grand Opening of the De Anza College Farmers' Market will be this Sunday, Aug. 4, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The market will continue every Sunday at those hours. Online Services Restored

All online services have been restored and Wi-Fi is at full capacity on the De Anza and Foothill campuses. Thank you for your patience.

Many Campus Online Services Disrupted

Many online services are currently unavailable because of a circuit disruption affecting the De Anza and Foothill campuses. Canvas is operational and all classes are meeting as scheduled. However, on-campus Wi-Fi service is slow and VPN connections are not available. Phone service may be unstable. District ETS is working with AT&T to resolve the problem.

Bookstore Extended Hours: Friday, June 28, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

The Bookstore will be open Friday, June 28, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. for students who need to purchase or pick up their graduation gowns.



June 27-30

MyPortal Will Be Offline on Sunday, June 30, From 3 p.m-Midnight

MyPortal will be unavailable because of system maintenance this Sunday, June 30, from 3 p.m. to midnight. All features should be available again on Monday.

Graduation is Saturday, June 29, at 3 p.m.

De Anza will hold its 57th annual commencement celebration on Saturday, June 29, beginning at 3 p.m. in the Santa Clara Convention Center, 5001 Great America Parkway, Santa Clara, California. 

If you're planning to graduate this year, remember to:

  • Send us your photo and message for the special graduation slideshow by Monday, June 24.
  • Buy your cap and gown in person at the campus Bookstore by Thursday, June 27. (The deadline has passed to order online and have items shipped in time for graduation.)
  • Arrive early on graduation day: Doors will open at 1 p.m.

There is no deadline to participate in the ceremony, but you must apply for your degree by Friday, June 28, in order to have it awarded for spring quarter. (The deadline to apply in time for your name to appear in the printed program has passed.)

Everyone is welcome to post and view digital Congrats Cards for their favorite grads!

Education Forum with U.S. Rep. Ro Khanna and Trustee Patrick Ahrens

Please join Congressman Ro Khanna and Foothill-De Anza district Trustee Patrick Ahrens for an education forum on Thursday, June 20, from 11 a.m.-noon, in the VPAC theater. They will discuss topics such as increasing access to higher education and addressing the student loan crisis. All questions are welcome! If you'd like to attend, please RSVP to Khanna's office in advance.

Graduation is Saturday, June 29, at 3 p.m.

De Anza will hold its 57th annual commencement celebration on Saturday, June 29, beginning at 3 p.m. in the Santa Clara Convention Center, 5001 Great America Parkway, Santa Clara, California.

  • Apply for your degree by Monday, June 17, to be included in the souvenir program

Next Friday, April 19, is the last day to add classes with an add code from the instructor. The last day to drop classes without a W is Saturday, April 20. You can find more information on adding and dropping classes on the De Anza website.

Eclipse Today! Be Safe

Today at 11:13 a.m. the moon will align with and block part of the sun. We will see a partial solar eclipse, with at most 46% of the sun's diameter covered. Cal Grant Deadline Extended to May 2

There's still time to apply for a Cal Grant. The deadline has been extended to Thursday, May 2, so students will have more time to complete the new Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application (CADAA) for the 2024-25 academic year. The deadline is being extended for this year only because of changes in the FAFSA process.

De Anza Votes! Today is Election Day

If you haven't already turned in your ballot, today is the last day to vote in the statewide primary election for president, Congress and the state Legislature, as well as important ballot measures. Even if you forgot to register, you may still be eligible to cast a conditional ballot in person. Learn more at deanza.edu/vote.

Elections for DASG Officers and Student Trustee Are Feb. 26-March 8

Vote now! The elections for student trustee and DASG officer positions are open now through 4 p.m. on Friday, March 8. You can find more information about the candidates on the DASG website and can cast your vote at deanza.edu/studentvote.

De Anza Votes! Register to Vote by Feb. 20

Are you registered to vote? You must be registered by Tuesday, Feb. 20, in order to receive a mail-in b allot for the March 5 statewide election. (If you miss the deadline, you may still qualify to register and cast a conditional ballot in person on March 5.) Check your registration and register online at registertovote.ca.gov. Village Centers Anniversary Celebration on Feb. 13

Join the daylong anniversary celebration – with free food, games and giveaways – on Tuesday, Feb. 13, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. There will be a special event every hour, each hosted by a different center, with activities like karaoke, networking, cookie decorating and more! Silicon Valley Reads Kickoff This Wednesday

De Anza will host the kickoff for this year’s Silicon Valley Reads campaign with an special event this Wednesday, Jan. 31, beginning at 7 p.m. in the VPAC. Hear a panel of authors and activists discussing this year’s featured books and this year’s theme: “A Greener Tomorrow Starts Today.” Come early to see the related Euphrat art exhibit. Admission is free but advance registration is required to attend in person or via online streaming. Find details at deanza.edu/svreads.

DASG Elections: File to Run by Monday, Feb. 5

Filing is now open for anyone interested in running for an executive officer position (president, vice president or committee chairs) in the De Anza Student Government (DASG) or for student trustee. Elections will be held from Feb. 26 to March 8. Find more details at deanza.edu/dasg/elections.

There's a New, Improved FAFSA for 2024-25

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) has been improved and streamlined for 2024-25. If you're planning to apply for financial aid for next year, there are some important changes that you'll want to know about – including a new deadline for Cal Grants.
