Help is Available
If You’re Feeling Anxious About the Middle East
If you are feeling stressed or anxious about recent events in Israel and Gaza, there is help available to you. Students can contact De Anza’s Mental Health and Wellness Center to request individual counseling, or use TimelyCare to speak with a mental health professional online, any time, for free.

Homecoming Weekend
This Friday, Nov. 17, is the start of Homecoming Weekend! The Office of College Life, DASG and Inter Club Council have planned three events – with funding from DASG and the Office of the President. The homecoming dance will be on Friday and the homecoming game between De Anza and Foothill and pre-game social will be on Saturday. Please RSVP in advance.
Donate to the Warm Clothes Drive
The Resource Hub is holding a Warm Clothes Drive now until Monday, Nov. 27. You can donate gently used jackets, sweatshirts, sweaters, rain jackets and coats of any size – but please no children’s clothes – to the Resource Hub in RSS 143. If you have any questions, contact Erika Flores at floreserika@deanza.edu.
Winter Schedule Online
Registration for winter quarter will begin in a few weeks. You can find great classes – on campus and online – by consulting the winter class schedule at deanza.edu/schedule. You can check your registration date in MyPortal
Designated Lactation Rooms on Campus
There are designated lactation rooms available on campus for students and employees. Students should contact the Office of College Life in the lower level of the Campus Center or email collegelife@deanza.edu for more details. Employees should contact Sally Gore in College Operations at 408.864.8758 or goresally@deanza.edu.
There are also more resources for students who are parents. You can find more information about child care, tax credits and more at deanza.edu/resources/parents.
Open Enrollment for Covered California
If you do not have health insurance or are looking to change your plan, you can sign up for affordable health insurance starting today. You can get health insurance under the Affordable Care Act through the Covered California program until Jan. 31, 2024. You can also find free or low-cost resources at the Mental Health and Wellness Center or Student Health Services.
Planned Internet Outage
Reminder: There will be a planned internet service outage on campus this Friday evening, Nov. 17, beginning at 6 p.m. and lasting potentially until midnight. Internet and Wi-Fi access, as well as the VoIP phone system, may not be available during this time, because of scheduled work to upgrade networking equipment.
