Help is Available
If You’re Feeling Anxious About the Middle East
If you are feeling stressed or anxious about recent events in Israel and Gaza, there is help available to you. Students can contact De Anza’s Mental Health and Wellness Center to request individual counseling, or use TimelyCare to speak with a mental health professional online, any time, for free.

Stanford Research Conference
The Stanford Research Conference is the Stanford Undergraduate Research Association’s annual conference that serves as a forum for undergraduates from all over the country to present their work, connect with other researchers and hear from distinguished leaders in a research community representing all disciplines. The conference will be held in person on April 5-7. Applications are due on Monday, Jan. 15. For more information, you can view their website or register for a virtual information session this Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m.
Registration and Degree Works Unavailable Dec. 1-2
There will be Banner system maintenance this Friday, Dec. 1, starting at 8 p.m. and lasting until 2 a.m. the next day, Dec. 2. This will affect registration and Degree Works, making them unavailable, but will not impact MyPortal, MyPortal applications, Microsoft Office or Canvas. Please plan ahead.
Winter Registration Is Open for Everyone
Registration for winter quarter is open for all students. They can find great classes – on campus and online – by consulting the winter class schedule at deanza.edu/schedule. They can check their registration date in MyPortal.
Open Enrollment for Covered California
If you do not have health insurance or are looking to change your plan, you can sign up for affordable health insurance starting today. You can get health insurance under the Affordable Care Act through the Covered California program until Jan. 31, 2024. You can also find free or low-cost resources at the Mental Health and Wellness Center or Student Health Services.
