Help is Available
If You’re Feeling Anxious About the Middle East
If you are feeling stressed or anxious about recent events in Israel and Gaza, there is help available to you. Students can contact De Anza’s Mental Health and Wellness Center to request individual counseling, or use TimelyCare to speak with a mental health professional online, any time, for free.
Spotlight
DASG De-Stress Week
Prepare for finals with DASG during De-Stress Week. Tomorrow, Dec. 5, you can create a care package for yourself or design your own tote in the Fireside Room. On Thursday, Dec. 7, create origami and pottery in L47. Find more information on the college Events Calendar.
Paint and Sip Fundraiser
The second annual California History Center Donors and Members Recognition Dinner is this Thursday, Dec. 7, from 5-8 p.m.Community members, faculty, staff and students are all welcome. Stop by for an evening of art, food, wine and music. Participants will be led in a painting activity, followed by music and dinner, while House Family Vineyards will offer wine tasting. The event is free, but please RSVP in advance. Free parking can be found in the Flint Garage.
Winter Registration Is Open for Everyone
Registration for winter quarter is open for all students. They can find great classes – on campus and online – by consulting the winter class schedule at deanza.edu/schedule. They can check their registration date in MyPortal.
Open Enrollment for Covered California
If you do not have health insurance or are looking to change your plan, you can sign up for affordable health insurance starting today. You can get health insurance under the Affordable Care Act through the Covered California program until Jan. 31, 2024. You can also find free or low-cost resources at the Mental Health and Wellness Center or Student Health Services.
