Graduation Update
Graduation Packs Now Available
You can now purchase Graduation Packs – which include a cap, gown, tassel and diploma cover – and affinity stoles at the De Anza Bookstore, online or in-store. Orders can be shipped to the store on campus or to your home.
You must order by June 14 in order to receive your items in time for Graduation on Saturday, June 29. If you need financial assistance in purchasing a gown, email Chelsey Taniguchi at taniguchichelsey@deanza.edu with your name and CWID. Find more information and updates at deanza.edu/graduation.
Upcoming Events
International Student Transfer Fair: Open to All
International Student Programs is hosting a transfer fair this Wednesday, May 1, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in Conference Rooms A & B. The event will feature representatives from more than 40 universities – including most UC and CSU campuses. Other private, public, in-state, out-of-state and Ivy League schools, such as Columbia University, Boston University and more will also visit. While the event is primarily for students attending on a F-1 visa, the event is open to all students. You can find more information on the college events calendar.
Queer and Now Conference Is This Thursday
The 10th annual Queer and Now Conference is this Thursday, May 2, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. in Conference Rooms A & B. The event, which focuses on the LGBTQ+ community, student success and more, is centered around the theme “Cultivating Queer Roots.”
Activities include a queer creative arts workshop, session on LGBTQ+ issues, and a performance by Jocquese.

Measure G Construction and Lot J Closure Starts This Week
Contractors will begin installing fencing around the Flint Center site and Parking Lot J next week, as a preliminary step for Flint Center demolition work.
- Lot J is expected to be unavailable for parking through January 2025.
- Watch for regular construction updates at deanza.edu/measure-g/construction.

De Anza Planetarium in SFGate
The De Anza Planetarium advanced to the final round of voting for SFGate’s “Best of the Bay Area" list. It is nominated under the "Family Night Out" category.
If you have enjoyed shows at the Planetarium, please consider casting your vote by Monday, May 6, to help support De Anza.
