New Mental Health and Wellness Support Group

Support for Asian, Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Students

There is a new Mental Health and Wellness Center (MHWC) shared support group for students that identify as Asian, Asian American, Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander (AANHPI). The group is led by MHWC interns and meets every Thursday from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in Multicultural Center Room 11 (MCC 11). The group is open now and will run every week this quarter, with the exception of Thanksgiving week and finals week. Participation is free and there’s no advance registration required.

To supplement this group, the MHWC is also offering an individual drop-in space for AANHPI students. Students can stop by Room 255 on the second floor of the Registration & Student Services (RSS) Building on Wednesdays from 3:10-4:10 p.m. to learn about therapy and resources on campus. This space is also free and no appointment is needed – but students may RSVP in advance, if they would like, by emailing MHWC1@deanza.edu.
