Bookstore Credit for ESL Students
Dear Student,
You have qualified for a $50 credit voucher at the De Anza Bookstore, thanks to a generous gift from a member of the college community. We hope this gift will support and encourage students like you who are beginning their study of English as a Second Language (ESL) at De Anza.
You can apply the $50 toward the purchase of any books or materials at the Bookstore. At the end of this email, you will find instructions for how to use your credit.
We are able to offer this gift because of a financial donation made by William Baerg to the Foothill-De Anza Foundation. Mr. Baerg gave this donation to honor John Fleming, a retired ESL instructor at De Anza. If you would like to thank Mr. Baerg, you can write to him through the Foothill-De Anza Foundation at foundation@fhda.edu.
We are very glad that you chose to study ESL at De Anza. We understand that it’s not easy to learn a new language, and that paying for tuition and books can be a challenge. At De Anza, you will find many programs and services to assist you, and many people who want you to succeed.
Here's how to use your $50 gift:
- Visit the Bookstore website and follow the instructions on your screen to select the books or materials you need for class.
- When you are ready to complete your purchase, you will see a drop-down menu for payment options
- Select "Financial Aid" to apply your $50 credit toward the cost of your purchase. (If you are asked for a Financial Aid account number, use your eight-digit student ID number, also known as a Campuswide ID or CWID.) The Bookstore will automatically deduct this from your account.
- For more tips on ordering and paying online, check the tutorials posted on the Bookstore's Textbook Information webpage.
If you need assistance with this process, please contact Jocelyne Luna, customer service assistant, at lunajocelyne@deanza.edu, or Nora Vuong, accounting coordinator, at vuongnora@deanza.edu.
Best wishes,
De Anza College
