Register Now for Fall!
Hi. We noticed you applied but haven't registered yet for fall quarter. There are lots of great classes still available: Most fall classes will be online, while some will be held on campus.
In order to attend classes on campus, you must be vaccinated against COVID-19 and upload proof of vaccination by Oct. 1.

Fall classes begin Monday, Sept. 20
Virtual Welcome Day is Sept. 17
While you're online, remember to check out the activities planned for Virtual Welcome Day on Friday, Sept. 17. It's a great opportunity to meet your instructors, discover your Village – and enter a drawing to win a great prize! Visit deanza.edu/welcomeday for details.
Fall Class Listings
See the online searchable schedule for course information, newly added classes and cancellations. Be sure to check the footnotes for each class you are taking – or any class you are considering – to learn whether the class will be held on campus or online.
If the class is online, the footnotes will say if it is
- An online class with no scheduled meetings. (Students can log in anytime to do the required weekly course work.)
- An online class that meets each week on scheduled days and times, as noted in the listing
- An online class with SOME scheduled meetings, as noted in the listing or the class syllabus. (The rest of the class can be completed independently each week on the student’s own time.)
You can also view open and newly added classes by using the Open Classes Finder in MyPortal. Go to the Apps section and click on the Student Registration tile. Remember to check for prerequisites.
New Names for Ethnic Studies Courses
Many courses that were previously labeled as “Intercultural Studies” are now offered through new departments. In addition to classes with the prefix ICS (Intercultural Studies), be sure to look for classes with these prefixes
- AFAM: African American Studies
- ASAM: Asian American and Asian Studies
- CETH: Comparative Ethnic Studies
- CHLX: Chicanx and Latinx Studies
- NAIS: Native American and Indigenous Studies
All courses offered through these departments will satisfy De Anza's ICS course requirement for an associate degree.
