Bookstore Credit for ESL Students
Dear Student,
You have qualified for a $50 credit voucher at the De Anza Bookstore, thanks to a generous gift from a member of the college community. We hope this gift will support and encourage students like you who are beginning their study of English as a Second Language (ESL) at De Anza.
You can apply the $50 toward the purchase of any books or materials at the Bookstore. At the end of this email, you will find instructions for how to use your credit.
We are able to offer this gift because of a financial donation made by William Baerg to the Foothill-De Anza Foundation. Mr. Baerg gave this donation to honor John Fleming, a retired ESL instructor at De Anza. If you would like to thank Mr. Baerg, you can write to him through the Foothill-De Anza Foundation at foundation@fhda.edu.
We are very glad that you chose to study ESL at De Anza. We understand that it’s not easy to learn a new language, and that paying for tuition and books can be a challenge. At De Anza, you will find many programs and services to assist you, and many people who want you to succeed.
Here's how to use your $50 gift:
- Visit the online Bookstore at deanzastore.com and follow the instructions on your screen to select the books or materials you need for class.
- During the checkout process, select “Financial Aid/Scholarship” as your payment method if you want to use this voucher.
- Follow the instructions to enter your 8-digit CWID number and then select "ESL Book Voucher" from the types of aid that will be listed for you.
- The Bookstore will apply this voucher to your purchase.
If you’ve already purchased your books for this quarter, you may contact Robin Latta at the Foundation by sending an email to lattarobin@fhda.edu. You'll find more information about ordering books and materials at deanzastore.com and on the Bookstore FAQs webpage.
Best wishes,
De Anza College
