Ramadan: Ramadan is the 9th month of the Islamic Calendar. It lasts 29-30 days, depending on the moon sighting. One of the most prominent aspects of Ramadan is that Muslims fast every day of the month from dawn to sunset. Muslims also read more Quran (The Holy Book) during this month and offer more prayers to God.

Eid Al-Fitr: Eid Al-Fitr is a holiday that comes directly after Ramadan. On this day, Muslims celebrate the end of the month of Ramadan. The exact day of Eid Al-Fitr depends on the moon sighting on the last day of Ramadan.

Eid-al-Fitr, a practice after Ramadan, falls during the first week of the Spring Quarter, April 8th-12th.
