    Reflection follow-up

This agenda item was to check-in on everyone’s progress of the Program Reflection and to see if anyone had any questions, concerns, or comments they wanted to share.

    • LeBleu-Burns mentioned that there were some questions regarding the timeframe since the reflection refers to the 2019-20 year but there are some questions regarding the pandemic that mostly falls within the 2020-21 year. She suggested to her team that they address the challenges, the impacts, and what has changed.

Mieso commented that this question tends to come up often regarding program reviews but this year is unique and what LeBleu-Burns described was a good way to reconcile the impact the pandemic has had or as Booye mentioned “the creation of new normal.”

    • Mieso said that once the SLO Convocation has concluded, maybe the different areas can share an overview of their reflection for feedback and discussion in future meetings.

    Return to Campus

The newly created phases for return- to-campus were reviewed and the topic was opened up for questions. Currently we are moving into Phase II and most of Student Services will not be back on campus until Phase V.

    Member & Program Updates
    • Kirkpatrick reported from ACE and the Reclassification and Compensation Study has been approved by the Board of Trustees. The appeal process is now open and available to members.

    • Kirkpatrick also reported on Classified Senate and they have been working on the upcoming senate elections and the new senate structure has been approved. Originally elections were geographical and now they will be by area of focus. They are currently working on how the current representatives will move into this new format.

    • Tran from DASG reported that they are hosting the Student Voices United for Change Conference on Thursday, April 29th from 1:30-3:30 pm and Friday, April 30th from 10:00-12:00 pm that is also being co-hosted by VIDA, Office of Equity, and Office of College Life. The purpose of this event is to help students become agents of change – “Together We Light the Way.”
      • Rafli reported that they are also holding a Townhall event on Friday, May 7th regarding the topic of race.

    • Balducci reported that Title IX has been working on a Climate Survey to get a better understanding of what students know, where they might need support, and what they need to assist with prevention.

      • Booye said all the groups have been working together, EOPS, Latinx, BFSA, etc. to put together a proposal of a structured flow that doesn’t put too much of a burden on custodial for the stage on multiple days.
