There were no amendments to the previous meeting notes or to the agenda.
Position Priority Metrics Discussion - Workgroup
LeBleu-Burns went through and explained the categories in the Position Rubric that included:
- Institutional Core Competencies (ICCs)
- College Mission
- College Core Values
- Equity Impact on Disproportionately Impacted Student Populations (D.I.S.P)
- SSPBT Priorities
- APRU Request History
- Link to the Institutional Metrics
- Plan to Assess Effectiveness
- Innovation and Intangibles
Mieso proposed that instead of creating yearly SSPBT priorities, we have a set of core priorities that include:
- Student Equity
- Access to Education
- Removing the barriers to education
- Student Retention
- Student Completion
- This includes all the success factors such as transfer, degrees, certification, etc.

The proposal was accepted and the rubric category was changed to SSPBT Core Priorities and will be posted on the SSPBT webpage as well.
Balducci went through the Position Template that follows the rubric categories and expands on how the position supports each individual category. A couple of the questions in the rubric were made into individual questions and will be aligned to be in the same order as the rubric. Final review and approval of both documents will take place in the first SSPBT meeting in the winter quarter.
CAS Update
All the teams are finalizing their templates and preparing to start the process. This year everyone will finish gathering input, collaborating, and discussions in their individual areas. LeBleu-Burns thanked Veronica Avila, Dawn Lee Tu, and Hyon Chu Yi-Baker for assisting in the process and coaching the teams.
Member & Program Updates
- Mandy reported that they are continuing to distribute CARES funds and are going through
lists of students with balances to see if they qualify for any funding.
- All book vouchers now come through Financial Aid who will coordinate with the Bookstore.
This process should be ready by next week so students can start ordering their books.

- Yi-Baker reported that the DASG student elections are coming up and applications are
due by the end of January 2022.
- They have 20 active clubs this quarter with about 50 students attending ICC meetings.
- Office of College Life will be open Monday – Thursday from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm on-campus in the winter quarter.
- A reminder that the digital VTA pass is expiring at the end of the month and students
will need to come in to the office to pick up their physical card to replace it.
- Balducci said that DSPS will have more availability for drop-ins for students with
two counselors working on-campus. DSS will be open Monday – Thursday in the winter
quarter.
- General Counseling will still be remote for the winter quarter.
- APE will have half of their classes on campus with the pool classes being very popular.
- General Counseling and DSPS will have counseling available to students over the winter
break as well and their availability will be posted on their webpages.
- LeBleu-Burns reported that they have 100 new students for the winter quarter in EOPS.
- OTI is collaborating with CARE for a drive through gift distribution with Santa Claus on December 15th from 1:30 – 2:30 pm in Parking Lot A.
- They are making the final arrangements for on-campus Psychological Services to be available three days a week in the Campus Center.
- They are in conversation with Foothill on a possible joint contract for Timely MD
for services.
- DASG is currently on break and will return next quarter. They do have a special meeting
scheduled this Friday, Dec. 3rd regarding the continuation of meetings online or in
person.
- Tran also wanted to remind everyone to take care of their mental health during this
time.

- Kirkpatrick said ACE has some new board and team members starting in January. Scott
Olson will be the new President and Kirkpatrick has moved to a negotiator position.
Kirkpatrick will be replaced by Sasha Bostick.
- Brown is a new member to SSPBT and has been working in the bookstore for about 8 years
and is now working full-time with Guided Pathways. She would be available to answer
any questions people may have regarding the bookstore if needed.
- Kobata reported on the Classified Senate meeting held on November 23rd. They reviewed
the survey results and the presentation that was made to Senior Staff. They also discussed
the next steps regarding return to campus, meetings, etc.
- Athletics is closing their fall season and preparing for their winter sport season.

- Alexander said that many UC and CSUs have extended their transfer application deadlines
to December 15th and to check-in with a Counselor regarding these deadlines.
- Mieso wanted to remind everyone that there was an in-person campus event this Friday,
Dec. 3rd from 10:00 – 12:00 pm on the Campus Center patio.
The committee voted to cancel the last meeting of the year scheduled for December 16th and will return in January 2022.
