De Anza offers three elementary-level Italian courses. (See below for the latest course descriptions and requirements.)
By completing all three, you can satisfy the World Language requirement for these certificates:
- Italian Language and Culture: Certificate of Achievement
- Global Studies: Certificate of Achievement-Advanced
- World Languages: Certificate of Achievement-Advanced
Free Textbook for All Classes!
The Italian program uses one textbook for all three courses – and the book is free for all students enrolled in class.ITAL 1 is offered in fall and spring. This course is for absolute beginners and has no prerequisite.
ITAL 2 and ITAL 3 are offered once each year, in winter and spring respectively. Please plan your schedule accordingly.
