Guided Pathways Update & Video
Felisa Vilaubi & Hyon Chu Yi-Baker presented a video and updated the team on the work of the Guided Pathways team. Students will be placed in cohorts/villages with faculty who will move as a cohort. Students can switch between meta-majors cohorts/villages. Restructuring the campus through meta-major villages. The need for possible physical spaces has not been addressed yet. Student feedback from the work on the facilities master plan reflected that students wanted to consolidate spaces with student services. The timing offers a good opportunity with the implementation of guided pathways continued planning of the facilities.
Facilities Master Plan Update
FMP was presented at the 3/2/2021 APBT meeting. Collegewide informational meeting was held on 3/18/2021.Money has been set aside for improvement of main campus entry. This front entry will need to be improved with the removal of the Flint center and the new Event Center. The facilities master plan has not been vetted by the state, DSA, or architects. The draft is not a reflection of the final plan. That work is still to come and it will be a collaborative process with stakeholder groups and discipline experts input.
The final FMP will be approved at the 4/22/2021 College Council meeting.
Note added 4/22/2021: College Council approved the FMP.
Note added 05/06/2021: The Board approved the Foothill-De Anza Community College District - 2021-2026 Facilities Master Plan (FMP) at the 05/03/2021 meeting.
Return to Campus Phase II - Update
Some classes from DMT, Auto Tech, Athletics outdoor conditioning and Creative Arts are scheduled to return to campus on May 3, 2021.
Bookstore Update
Bookstore is running at negative $400k. FH & DA worked with consultant for an RFP. The committee included Patrick Gannon, Shagun Kaur and the student representative Jeffery Kasprow. All committee members signed a confidentiality agreement. Evaluate proposals next week with details and presentations. Contract signed in July2021 with takeover later in the year. No employees will be laid off. A lot of work and thought went into the project with student equity asfront and center. Under the new vendor the Bookstore will be able to employ students.
Program Review and AUO update.
Administrative \ services managers are meeting with the AUO coordinator Veronica Acevedo Avila learn about new data gathering system and to review the program review and AUO status.
Note added 05/18/202: Only Pam Grey met with Acevedo Avila. Another meeting will be scheduled for a meeting with all Administrative Services managers.
Shared Governance Taskforce - Discussion continuing in College Council
Mahato reported that the government taskforce had its first meeting. Reaching out to Fiscal services to understand the funds. Will be researching the PBTs.Budget: Current Model and Process for Upcoming Years - Discussion continuing in College Council Holmes highlighted the importance of understanding budget and its priorities as an institution and how to meet those priorities with a limited amount of dollars.

Talk of revising the J1 form to incorporate the hybrid modalities. DASG requested more input on equity and engagement.
Board approved the ACE classification study. Classified can either accept or appeal the results.
DASG changed their name from De Anza Student Body (DASB) to De Anza Student Government. They are presenting the final budget at the FHDA board meeting in May. Sharon Zho will be the next year's Chair of Finance. Still finalizing senators and governance groups reps for next year. https://www.deanza.edu/dasg/elections/
